How to enjoy Saigon nightlife

Nightlife in Saigon, depending on where you are, means very different things. We have district 1 with rooftop bars, high rolling casinos and smooth jazz bands or District 3 and Pham Ngu Lao’s backpacker street, with stunning street bars, cheap food and a good atmosphere. Surely, Saigon is the place to be when night falls.

Ho Chi Minh City has one of the world’s most impressive rooftop bar collections, especially the ones that still remain its colonial charm like Saigon Saigon Rooftop.

Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar was opened in 1959 and is an iconic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City as the setting has drawn people from all over the world.

This rooftop Bar’s menu has something for everyone. It offers a gentle gateway into Vietnamese cuisine, but at the same time offers classic bar food.

2. Beer Hoi on Pham Ngu Lao Street

This street drinking scene along the Pham Ngu Lao street is legendary. It is the city’s backpacker hub, welcoming a mix of foreigners and local Vietnamese who want to drink the night away.

If you want to hit the dance floor later in the night, there are several nightclubs, as well as many cheap restaurants if you are running low on energy.
